Rory Durkin, attorney for a Thief River Falls man accused of felony possession of child pornography, won a major victory this week by getting the greater charge of dissemination “distribution” of child pornography dismissed. Durkin successfully argued that the man had never been in legal trouble and posed a small risk of reoffending. The judge in the case sentenced the defendant to ninety days in jail and five years probation. Rory Durkin is a partner in the Minneapolis defense firm of Giancola Law.
